Description

The cross-base, located approximately 8 metres to the east of Hill House, is a late medieval structure made of magnesian limestone. It features a chamfered lip around the bottom of a square base that rises into an octagonal shape, complete with weathered corner stops. At the top, there is a stump of a shaft set in a square socket.
