Description

The village pump located to the rear of Number 1 is a manual water pump from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a cylindrical base with round-headed openings at both the front and rear. The shaft is designed to resemble a fluted Doric column and includes a bucket platform, a cranked handle on the right, and a spout that projects from the capital. The pump is topped with a fluted cap and a ball finial. This pump is a well-preserved example and is situated prominently in the village.
