Description
Tickhill Mill is an 18th and 19th century building, although the site likely has a much earlier history. It is constructed of hammer-dressed stone with a pantiled roof. The mill is two storeys high with basements, and comprises two distinct parts, with a single-storey lean-to on the east side which originally housed mill machinery. The east part has two bays, while the west part has one. Each part has a basement door. The east part has a boarded door set up a single step, and the west part has a boarded door on its west side, along with one window and one basement opening. The north side of the mill has three openings at ground level and one gable window.
