Description
No 16 Market Hill is a shop premises dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed rubble and features a Welsh slate roof. The building stands four storeys high and has two bays, with quoins at the corners. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front, while the upper floors are fitted with sash windows. The windows on the third floor are shorter, and those on the first and second floors may have been lengthened. All the windows have deep lintels and plain jambs. A moulded eaves cornice runs along the top, and there is gable coping on the square kneeler to the right. A later brick stack is located on the right gable. It is likely that this building is part of a larger premises.
