Description
Nos 12 and 14 Market Hill are shop premises dating from the late 18th century. The building is constructed of ashlar and features a concrete tiled roof from the 20th century. It stands four storeys tall and has three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop frontage, while the upper floors contain four-pane sash windows, with the windows on the third floor being square. There are sill bands on the first and second floors and a moulded eaves cornice. The right side has gable coping on a square kneeler and a later brick stack. The rear of the building has two gables and a similar eaves cornice. At one time, these premises were known as the George and Dragon Inn.
