Description

This is a house, probably dating from the early to mid-18th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble with brick dressings, and features a gable and chimney stack. The roof is covered in pantiles. The house has a central lobby-entry plan, originally comprising two rooms with an attic space above. It is a single-story structure with two windows at the front. The right-hand side features quoins. A 19th-century open-gabled porch fronts the original plain board door, which is flanked by 12-pane sliding sash windows set within segmental brick arches. A small square boarded opening is located at the right end. Stepped brick eaves are visible. Two 19th-century raking dormers with sliding sashes are present. A central chimney stack is also a notable feature. Inside, the ceilings are beamed, and there are wide fireplaces. A 19th-century staircase with turned balusters has been inserted.
