Description
The gate-piers, located approximately 10 metres north-west of Scunthorpe Museum and Art Gallery, date from the early to mid-18th century. They are constructed from limestone ashlar and feature rusticated piers with moulded cornices and ball finials on moulded bases, with the right pier being partly restored. These gate-piers were originally part of Frodingham Hall, which has since been demolished. It is possible that they were relocated in 1875 when the Vicarage, now the Scunthorpe Museum, was constructed.
