Description
39 Bethlehem Street is a mid-19th century house and shop featuring a 20th-century shop front. The building is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond and has a Welsh slate roof. It stands three storeys high and has a two-window range. The ground floor has a modern shop front, while the first floor features six-over-six sash windows and the second floor has three-over-six sash windows, all with projecting stone sills and cambered lintels that include projecting keys. At the second-floor level, there are a pair of circular tie-bar ends. The building has a deep wooden eaves board supported by modillion brackets, which carries a wooden gutter, and there is an end stack on the left side. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with No. 37.
