Description

Bond Warehouse 8 and Hull Business Centre are two warehouses that have been converted into offices. They were built in the late 18th century and early 19th century, with a conversion taking place in the late 20th century. The buildings are constructed of brick with ashlar dressings, and the roofs are not visible. There is a painted band between the ground and first floors, and the windows feature segmental heads.

On the left, the taller block has five storeys and a five-window range. In the centre, there is a full-height recess with a pair of close boarded loft doors on each floor. To the right, on each floor, there are two 2-light casements. On the left side of each floor, there is one similar casement and to its left, a single light casement. On the ground floor to the left, there is a close boarded door.

The lower block to the right has four storeys and a six-window range, with a symmetrical front. In the centre, there are two 2-light windows on each floor. Beyond these, there are single full-height recesses with late 20th-century glazing and box-shaped oriel windows on the third floor. Further along, there are single 2-light windows on the upper floors, and on the ground floor, there are doors. The left door features an overlight, while the right door has barred upper panels.

These buildings are the only remaining warehouses associated with Queen's Dock, which was built between 1774 and 1778 and filled in around 1930.
