Description
TA 16 NW BOYNTON MAIN STREET (east side) 10/32 Vicarage, approximately 40 metres to north of Church of St Andrew (Formerly listed as 11.1.52 Vicarage) - II
Vicarage, now house. Early C18. Red brick, coursed chalk rubble, pantiled roof. L-shaped plan with extruded corner under catslide roof. 2 storeys and attics, 3 windows to main elevation. 2-panelled service door in wooden surround with rectangular fanlight on extreme left. Sliding sash windows with glazing bars in wooden surrounds. Flat brick arches over all openings. Band at first floor level, stepped brick eaves cornice, raised gable with kneelers. End stack T-shaped on plan with string and stepped cornice. Extruded corner has unequal sashes in wooden surrounds and main door of 6 raised and fielded panels under rectangular fanlight with vertical glazing bars. Cross wing has sliding sash with glazing bars to first floor. Raised gable with kneelers. Canted bays with ramped parapets under stone coping with pyramid and ball finials to cross-wing gable and garden front: latter otherwise symmetrical with 3 windows: giant sashes with glazing bars to ground floor, sashes with glazing bars to first floor.
