Description
This building is an outbuilding located about 20 metres west of the Garden House at Boynton Hall. It dates from the early 18th century and was originally used as stables. The structure is made of brick with stone dressings and has a concrete pantile roof. It has an L-shaped plan and features a principal elevation that is one storey high with five bays arranged in a 2:1:2 pattern. The elevation is symmetrical and includes quoins.
The entrance consists of a boarded door with moulded stiles and rails set in a round-headed stone surround, complete with impost blocks and a fanned key-block. There are four sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills, all positioned under gauged brick arches. The building also has a dentilled eaves cornice, a hipped roof to the right, and tumbled-in brickwork to the raised gable on the left, which features shaped kneelers. This outbuilding is included partly for its group value with the surrounding structures.
