Description

A late 18th-century farmhouse and barn situated on the west side of Main Street in Boynton. The farmhouse is constructed of chalk rubble in diminishing courses, with tumbled-in brick to the gables. It has a slate roof with a rear outshut featuring a catslide roof. The main elevation is balanced, with five bays arranged 2:1:2. A 20th-century door is set within a wooden surround. The ground floor has tripartite sliding sash windows, with a 20th-century casement to the right. Smaller sliding sashes are found on the first floor. The farmhouse has end and axial stacks, and plain close verges. A rear wing features a sliding sash window, slate roof, and plain close verges. The adjoining barn has pantile roofing and two ventilation slits at first floor level. It features a loading door in the gable and a stepped brick eaves cornice.
