Description
17 Highgate is a building from the mid to late 18th century. It has two storeys and is constructed of painted brick, topped with a machine tile roof that features two gabled dormers. The eaves cornice is made of wood with ogee brackets and is decorated with guttae, along with later wooden spouting. The façade includes three windows, with the centre window being narrower. These windows are near flush frame sashes with small panes, stuccoed heads, and stone cills. The building has a rendered plinth and four stone steps leading up to a modern door, which is accompanied by light wrought iron guard rails. Inside, there is a staircase with a closed string, plain newels, a simply moulded handrail, and turned balusters.
