Description
The woollen manufactory, now serving as a storehouse, was built around 1770. It is constructed of brick with a pantiled roof. The building features a central block flanked by lower wings in a symmetrical arrangement. The main block has two storeys and three bays, while the wings each have two lower storeys and three bays, with the bays defined by brick pilasters. The central entrance includes a door with a taking-in door above it, and there are small circular unglazed openings in the flanking bays at both ground and first floor levels. Each wing contains a door, a four-pane window, and a circular opening on the ground floor, along with three circular openings on the first floor. The rear elevation of the main block has two large oculi on the first floor, and the wings have two smaller oculi, all of which are blocked. There is a dentilled brick eaves cornice, and the main block and wings have hipped roofs with tumbled-in brick at the half-gables. The main elevation is obscured by adjoining buildings that are not of special interest.
