Description
The former Barclays Bank, located at No 4 North Bar Within in Beverley, is a building from the mid to late 19th century. It features three storeys constructed of red brick with painted stone or stucco dressings, topped with a slate roof and a console cornice. The façade is six windows wide, with a cill string running along the second floor. The second-floor windows have plain architraves, while the first-floor windows are adorned with architraves and cornices. There is a panelled string above the ground floor, where the windows are segmental-headed and currently fitted with plate glass. The entrance door has a similar segmental head.
