Description
Nos 14 and 16 on Saturday Market in Beverley are mid-18th century buildings that were gutted, restored, and re-roofed around 1975. The north front mainly represents No 14 and features two storeys with stucco that is lined and painted. The roof is hipped with slate and includes two gabled dormers. There are six windows on the first floor, which also has a blank recess, while the ground floor has six windows. The building showcases painted rusticated quoins and a stone ogee bracketed eaves cornice, which has an added wood dentil soffit. The west front includes two first-floor windows, and the ground floor features modern shop windows, including a bow.
