Description

36 Eastgate is a 18th-century building located on the west side of Eastgate in Beverley. It has two storeys and features rough rendering along with a pantile roof and a rebuilt brick cornice. There is a band between the storeys. The building has three windows, which do not have glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two windows with six modern mullion and transom lights. The doorway is flanked by narrow wooden pilasters and has an entablature and cornice above it. The door itself consists of six fielded panels and is topped by a three-pane rectangular fanlight. The gable end displays tumbled brickwork.
