Description

Ransomes Row is an estate house with four attached cottages, built around 1820 and altered in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of red brick with pantile roofs and has two gable and four ridge stacks. It is two storeys high with a seven-window front. The arrangement from left to right is a single window, then a doorway with a wooden pilaster door surround and entablature hood, containing a six-panel door and overlight. This is followed by two further windows, then four further doorways, each with a single window to the right. Each of these doors features a four-panel door. All windows are glazing bar sashes, with segment brick heads above each opening. The upper windows are eight-pane sashes.
