Description

1 St Augustine's Gate is an early to mid 19th century building constructed of brown brick with a pitched slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and features one cased sash window on the first floor. The shop front is notable, framed by reeded pilasters and horizontally fluted consoles supporting the entablature. It has a bowed window with contemporary glazing bars and glass, an apron with incised panels, and two doors that each have oblong fanlights and moulded transoms. One door has six fielded panels, while the other has two fielded panels and a top half that is glazed with contemporary marginal glazing bars.
