Description
The Wheatsheaf Inn is a public house dating from 1611, as indicated by the datestone inscribed "B/1611/A". It features a timber frame with brick infill panels set on a stone base, topped with a thatched roof. The building is one storey high with an attic and consists of two bays, with a two-bay stone outbuilding to the right. The windows are fitted with small-paned casements, and there are eyebrow dormers on the first floor. The entrance includes a door with vertical strips. Inside, the inn has chamfered beams and a fireplace flanked by segmental-head recesses.
