Description

Pear Tree Cottage is a house from the 17th century that has been significantly altered. It is built of dressed stone and features a thatched roof. The cottage is one storey high and consists of two bays with a rear wing. The gables are coped and have kneelers, and some of the original purlins are still visible. The windows are fitted with small-paned casements. A 20th-century brick chimney stack has been added. As of 1985, the cottage is undergoing extensive but sympathetic restoration.
