Description
The lodge at Flaybrick Hill Cemetery, built in 1864 by Lucy and Littler, is located adjacent to the western secondary cemetery gates. This building features coursed and squared stonework, although the roof covering is now missing. It is designed in an L-shape and has one-and-a-half storeys. The entrance porch is situated in the angle under a catslide extension of the roof from a projecting gable. There is a moulded arched doorway that leads up steps, and a stone oriel window supported by brackets is present in the gable alongside. Additionally, there are small paired foiled windows at the apex and paired foiled windows in the end wall of the other gable, along with a quatrefoil at the apex. An axial stack is also part of the structure. For information on the other principal cemetery buildings, refer to those listed under Tollemache Road.
