Description

Springvale Terrace comprises a group of four houses built around 1850, situated on the west side of Martins Lane in Wallasey. The terrace is constructed of brick with stone dressings, topped with a slate roof. The houses are arranged over three storeys and feature nine bays, with two bays projecting at each end of the terrace. A sill band is visible on the first floor, and the building is finished with a top cornice and blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and sashed frames containing single glazing bars to the ground floor, and all-over glazing bars on the second floor. The entrances are round-headed, each with a complete fanlight and panelled doorcase. A blind window is positioned on the second floor of the entrance bays. The terrace contains three cross-axial chimney stacks and two gable-end stacks. Low stone-coped front garden walls run along the street.
