Description
The Lakeside Inn is a small public house, likely constructed between 1892 and 1913. It is timber-framed with panelled boarded walls and features a red tiled roof with ridge tiles and a finial at each end. The building has a small rectangular plan and is situated at the north angle between the Boathouse and the Promenade.
The exterior consists of a two-storey structure that presents only the upper storey to the Promenade, as the lower storey is built against the embankment. It features a three-bay loggia supported by wooden posts, which carries an oversailing roof with a projected gabled center that shelters a small area with benches. The gable has pierced bargeboarding, and beneath the loggia, the recessed front wall of the main range displays geometrical framing. The roof is hipped at both ends, with a gable breaking through.
The interior has not been inspected. The Lakeside Inn is part of a group with the Boathouse and the Café located approximately 30 meters to the south-west.
