Description
Number 47 is a house built around 1815 to 1820, made of brick with stone dressings and a slate roof. It has two storeys and a basement, featuring three bays. There is a first-floor sill band, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows have wedge lintels and are sash windows with glazing bars. The central entrance is round-headed and has a Doric doorcase, although the columns are missing as of 1984. The entrance includes a six-panel door and 20th-century fanlight glazing bars. Above the entrance, there is a window with an architrave, frieze, and consoled pediment. The property is accompanied by a stone-coped garden wall with iron railings and stone gate piers topped with an iron overthrow.
