Description
The Old School House is a 17th-century building that now serves as a Scout hall. It is located just inside the southern gateway to the churchyard. The structure is made of coursed rubble and features a stone slate roof. It has three storeys and is arranged in three bays with an additional one-bay extension at the rear. The ground floor includes a drip mould, while the windows are of three lights, double chamfered with hollow chamfered mullions, although most have been renewed. The casement windows are fitted with leaded glazing. The entrance, situated between the second and third bays, has a Tudor-arched head and a label mould that interrupts the drip mould. The left side of the building features a label mould above the upper windows. The school was founded around 1613.
