Description

Victoria Tower is a tower built in 1848 by Jesse Hartley. It is constructed of granite rubble and features a battered round base with a round-arched window and blocked entrances, along with roll moulding. The upper part of the tower is octagonal and includes a bracketed balcony, a six-faced clock, and paired slits with transoms above. Above these, there are blind roundels and the date is displayed on the south side. The tower is topped with a battlemented parapet on machicolations. There is a small rendered extension that is not of significant interest.
