Description
This is a terrace of eight cottages located on Barlow Lane, built in the early to mid 19th century. The cottages are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. They are two storeys high, with each house having two bays. There is a first-floor sill band and a cornice at the top. The windows are fitted with wedge lintels, and the entrances have round heads with panelled reveals.
No. 59 has small-paned casements. No. 61 features sash windows with glazing bars, a complete fanlight, and a six-panel door. No. 63 also has a complete fanlight and sash windows. No. 65 is equipped with casement windows. No. 67 has a complete fanlight, lower windows that are boarded (as of 1984), and upper sash windows with glazing bars. No. 69 has casements, while No. 71 has a tiled roof and casements. Finally, No. 73 has a projecting entrance and a ground floor canted bay window, with sash windows that do not have glazing bars.
