Description
No. 73 to 79 Mount Pleasant is a late 18th-century terrace building. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof. The terrace has three storeys, a basement, and an attic at No. 73, which has four bays, while the other properties have two bays with entrances on the right side. There is a sill course on the first floor and a cornice at the top. Most windows have wedge lintels and are sashed, with some featuring glazing bars. The round-headed entrances have Doric doorcases with fluted columns. No. 73 has had its first two bays rebuilt after war damage, and one of its windows is a casement. The properties have plain iron area railings. Nos. 75 to 79 have sashed windows with glazing bars, although the ground floor windows are boarded. The entrances to these properties have lost their columns, and Nos. 75 and 79 feature iron balconies. All properties have plain iron area railings.
