Description
This is a terrace of five houses located at 20-28 High Street, built in the mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a slate roof. They rise three storeys, with Nos. 24 and 28 having one bay, while the others have two bays. There is a first-floor sill band, a top frieze, and a cornice, along with quoins. The ground floor has canted stone bays, and the first-floor windows are topped with wedge lintels. Most windows are sashed without glazing bars. The entrances have flat surrounds and cornices, with overlights and mostly four-panel doors. The entrances to Nos. 22 and 24 are flanked by additional doors, while Nos. 26 and 28 have paired entrances. Notably, No. 24 features casements for its ground and first-floor windows.
