Description
Catterall Hall Farmhouse is a house, likely built in the mid-18th century, that has been altered over time. It is constructed of rendered brick with sandstone dressings and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, comprising six bays, with chamfered quoins and two decorative bands. The attic is now blind at the front. The windows are sashed with glazing bars, and have rendered reveals and stone sills. The ground-floor window in the third bay has replaced what was originally a door. There are chimneys located on the ridge and to the right of the second bay. Inside, the farmhouse has chamfered ceiling beams that are currently covered with wallpaper, and a staircase with one straight flight, featuring a closed string, a moulded handrail, and turned balusters.
