Description
The old font, located approximately 1 metre southeast of the Church of St Cuthbert, dates from the early to mid-19th century. It is made of sandstone and has an octagonal shape. The narrow stem features sides adorned with blind tracery decoration. Each side of the bowl is designed with two square foiled panels that contain a central shield.
