Description

This early 19th-century house is located on the west side of Halsall New Street. It is a double-depth plan building of two storeys with an attic, and has three bays. The house is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, with a slate roof. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within painted stone lintels and sills. The central bay features a door with a fanlight rising within the open pediment of a Tuscan pilaster doorcase, which is made of painted stone or stucco. Gable chimneys are present. The attic is lit by windows in the gable walls; the northern gable window is sash with Gothic glazing.
