Pair of small town houses. c.1830, altered. Red brick in Flemish bond, with sandstone dressings and slate roof. Double-depth plan, each house single-fronted, with coupled back extensions. Two storeys over cellars, 2+2 windows, symmetrical, with plain frieze and moulded gutter cornice. The doorways, each up one altered step, forming a triplet with a round-headed through-lobby doorway between them in a single composition with engaged Ionic columns and a continuous frieze and cornice, have panelled doors with glazed top panels and elliptical-arched fanlights with gauged brick voussoirs (now painted white). All the windows have raised sills and wedge lintels, and altered glazing (those at No.19 with early C20 stained glass). Cellar windows with wedge lintels and protective gratings. Gable chimneys. Rear of No.19 has original 16-pane sashed windows at ground floor of main range and extension, 12-pane sashes above. INTERIOR altered but 2-room cellar contains large fireplaces in both rooms and a washing boiler in the rear room.
