Description
Hopwood House is a mid-19th century house constructed of rubble with ashlar quoins and a blue slate roof. It features moulded stone coping and kneelers, as well as reticulated quoins. The façade includes three two-light sash windows with moulded Tudor-arched heads, and the doorway is topped with a fanlight that has a similar two-light design. Moulded and returned dripstones are present over all openings. On the right side, there is a canted bay window with Tudor-arched heads that extends to the first floor, where it is topped by a four-light window with crenellated mouldings. Additionally, there is an ornamental door surround on the left side that has been partially blocked to form a window.
