Description
Bank House Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from the mid 18th century. The farmhouse is constructed of pebbledashed rubble and features a slate roof. It has a two-unit central-entry plan with end stacks and stands two storeys high. A central gabled stone porch with plain reveals covers the doorway. To the left of the porch is a two-light window typical of the mid 18th century, featuring a square mullion. The former three-light window on the right now retains only one roughly chamfered mullion. On the first floor, there are two stone surrounds for similar windows. The right-hand gable has a sashed window with plain reveals on the ground floor. At the rear, there is a parallel extension from the 19th century.
The barn, located to the left (south-west) of the farmhouse, has a continuous roof and is currently used as a milking parlour. It features a modern timber lintel above a wide opening with plain reveals. Inside, there are three oak trusses.
