Description
Kitlow (or Kitchlow) Farmhouse and the adjoining barn to the east were built in 1676 and the early 19th century, respectively. The farmhouse is constructed of slobbered rubble with a tiled roof and has two storeys. The ground-floor windows are rebated and chamfered with a drip course, while the first-floor windows are chamfered. On either side of the door, there is a window that was originally three lights but now has only one remaining mullion. To the right of the door is a single-light fire window. The first floor features two windows that have had their mullions removed, and to the right is a modern window with plain reveals. The door itself has a chamfered surround and a battlemented lintel inscribed with '1676 AS'. The farmhouse has end chimneys.
The barn, located to the left of the farmhouse, was rebuilt using watershot sandstone. It features a wide entrance with a segmental arch, an external sliding door, and a blank plaque above. To the left of the barn entrance is a blocked doorway that has been converted into a window. The left-hand gable wall contains three shippon doorways, with the middle one being a later addition.
