Description
Hammerton Hall Bridge (Number 111) is a road bridge built around 1797 by the engineer John Rennie for the Lancaster Canal Company. The bridge is constructed of coursed squared sandstone and features a concave shape with slightly battered abutments. It has a semi-elliptical arch that includes a triple keystone and a decorative band above. The parapets are topped with rounded coping and have rectangular terminals.
