Description

Wrayton Farmhouse is a late 18th-century house located in Wrayton. It is constructed of sandstone rubble with a slate roof. The building is three storeys high with four bays, featuring chamfered quoins. The windows have plain stone surrounds and are sash windows with glazing bars, except for those on the ground floor, which are sash windows without glazing bars. The door is situated in the third bay and is framed by a Tuscan stone doorcase topped with a triangular pediment. There are two chimneys on each gable. Inside, the right-hand front room contains a built-in cupboard with a round head and doors featuring raised and fielded panels. The staircase has a closed string, slim turned newels and balusters, and a ramped handrail.
