Description

Millfield Bridge (Number 93) is an accommodation bridge over the Leeds-Liverpool Canal, constructed between 1812 and 1814. The supervising engineers for the project were Joseph and James Fletcher, and the contractor was John Knowles. The bridge is built of squared sandstone and features an elliptical portal adorned with rusticated voussoirs and a keystone. It has a band and a parapet with ridge coping, along with pilastered ends leading to curved keepers.
