Description
This is a two-unit house built in 1854 in the style of the 17th century. It was disused at the time of survey, and was originally built for the headmaster of the former National School that stood opposite in the courtyard. The house is constructed of dressed sandstone with a stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and features gable copings on kneelers topped by obelisk finials, along with chimney stacks above the rear gable and centrally on the ridge. The gable end facing the street has a chamfered, elliptical-arched doorway to the left, alongside a two-light chamfered mullioned window on the ground floor. Above, a similar three-light window is centrally placed. Square hood moulds are above all openings. The courtyard-facing elevation mirrors these details at the right-hand end.
