Description
Nos. 1 and 3 Pingot Lane are two adjoining cottages, believed to date from 1742. They are built from hammer-dressed stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of five bays. The layout is single-depth, with a small lean-to structure against the left gable.
No. 1 has three bays, with the entrance located in the third bay, which has a square-cut surround. The ground floor includes a 1-light window, two 3-light windows, and a 4-light recessed flat-faced mullion window, with the central window featuring a king mullion. On the first floor, there are three 3-light flat-faced mullion windows.
No. 3, which is slightly later in date, also has a square-cut door surround. Its ground floor has a 1-light window and a 3-light window, while the first floor features two 2-light windows. Both cottages have a total of four rendered ridge chimney stacks.
