Description
The lychgate and churchyard wall to the Church of St. Anne and to the Rectory were built around 1882 by J. M. and H. Taylor. The wall is made of banded stone and brick, topped with terra-cotta coping. The lychgate features a clay tile roof supported by an oak frame. Its side walls are diagonally braced and rest on dwarf walls. The roof structure includes king-post trusses with curved struts and diagonally braced cambered tie beams, topped with a cross finial, all designed in a 15th-century style. The walls of the churchyard are stepped at intervals.
