Description
13 Little Underbank in Stockport is a three-storey building with a flat roof, although an upper storey was removed in the 20th century. The structure is rectangular and features a passageway on the right side that includes a flight of steps. The tall ground floor has a rusticated stone surround with three giant keystones and a late 20th-century shop front. To the right, there is a tall, rusticated arched opening with a giant keystone and steps leading up through the passageway to the Market Place, marked by an iron wall sign reading "TO MARKET PLACE."
On the first floor, there are three windows with continuous sill and lintel bands, while the second floor has four windows with stone lintels and a continuous flush lintel band. The windows are two-over-two pane hung sashes. The steps have been restored, and there are two windows facing the stairway along with an arched opening towards the top.
This building is structurally distinct from the neighbouring St Petersgate Bridge, with which it shares group value. The interior has not been inspected.
