Description
The bridge over the moat to Clayton Hall, likely built in the 17th century, is constructed of coursed squared sandstone. It features two segmental arches with arch-bands and a central pier that has triangular "cutwater" projections on each side, creating refuges for the deck. There is a stone bench along the inner side of each parapet, and stone gate posts are located at the inner end of the bridge. This structure is part of a group with Clayton Hall.
