Description
The Ukrainian Club is a villa that has been converted into a club, originally built in the early 19th century. It features red brick construction on a stone plinth and is topped with a slate roof. The building has a double-depth, double-fronted plan and stands two storeys high with a cellar. It has three bays, arranged in a symmetrical pattern with two windows on the outer bays and one in the center, which slightly projects forward.
Architectural details include a plinth, pilastered corners, first floor sill-bands on the outer bays, and a string course that runs across the first floor, topped with a moulded gutter cornice. The central doorway is framed by a doorcase with Ionic semi-columns, an entablature, and a cornice, with a frieze that is inscribed "UKRAINIAN CLUB BUKOVINA." The ground floor features tall sash windows with panelled sills and flat-arched heads; the lower leaves have altered glazing while the upper leaves consist of six panes. The first floor has twelve-pane sashes, also with flat-arched heads. The building is capped with gable chimneys. The rear and interior of the building have not been inspected.
