Description
No. 1 Kelvin Street is a late 18th century or early 19th century garret workshop house that has been altered and is now a small shop. It has a narrow rectangular plan positioned at right angles to the street. The building stands three storeys high and features one bay. There is a round-headed doorway on the right, accessed by two steps, and an enlarged rectangular window to the left, both of which are damaged. On the first floor, there is a segmental-headed sashed window without glazing bars, with an exposed box. The second floor has a 5-light garret window that includes small panes and three horizontal sliding sashed openings, which are slightly damaged. The rear and interior of the building have not been inspected.
