Description
Greenhalgh Fold, now part of Greenmount Golf Club, is a two-storey building dating from 1744. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a slate roof and later brick gable stacks. The front elevation is largely unaltered. The building has two stone mullioned windows on each floor; the right-hand windows have five lights, and the left-hand windows have four lights. A dripmould runs across the front of the ground floor windows. A central door is framed by an architrave with eared corners and a keystone. Above the door is a triangular panel inscribed with "GBTB 1744". Above this panel is an additional moulded panel, which was formerly inscribed. To the right of the ground floor is a round-headed blind window or date panel.
