Description

The Presbyterian Chapel, built in 1715, is a significant structure located on Knowlsey Road. It was enlarged in 1773 and underwent alterations and repairs in 1845. The chapel is rectangular in shape and features two tiers of three-light plain chamfered mullioned windows along with a gabled front. Inside, there is a gallery on three sides and box pews, contributing to its historical character. An inscription in the heavy pediment above the doorway, supported by two piers, commemorates its construction and subsequent modifications.
