Description

A barn at Davenport Farm, dated 1723. The barn is constructed of rubble with dressed stone angles, with part of the north wall rebuilt in brick. It has a reslated roof and retains three original hewn King-post trusses. The front of the barn features three doorways with simple, flush surrounds, positioned below a tablet. A shield, bordered with foliage, displays the date 'H/DE/1723' on the gable end. The barn is described in Muschamp's "History of Ainsworth."
